Your Event at Fire
You or your organization can rent Fire to host gatherings or meetings, or simply
spend quiet time reading, writing or creating. Fire, and our newest addition - the
Loft, offers unique space for Executive, Writing or Personal Day, Overnight or
Weekend Retreats, Rehearsal Dinners, Private Parties, Gatherings, Art Openings,
video shoots, etc. Previous renters have included Downtown Kalamazoo Inc., Funk
211, Knockabout Theater, Crawlspace Eviction Improv Comedy Troupe, Dunya
Drum and Dance, Edison Neighborhood Association, the Kalamazoo Poetry Slam
and individuals and families celebrating special occasions. If you are looking for a
dj for your special event, at the Loft or Fire, Fire's own dj DISobedience

the Loft - our newest addition - is a beautiful, historic true loft space that formerly
housed firefighters from the time the fire station opened its doors in 1903 until it
closed in the 1950's. It has been immaculately restored and offers a unique,
spacious and inspiring environment for Executive, Writing or Personal Day,
Overnight or Weekend Retreats, or to simply spend quiet time reading, writing or
creating. At almost double the size of a typical hotel suite, the Loft, with it's over
ten foot high ceilings and large windows, offers a full kitchen, bathroom with shower,
queen sized bed, futon, and other amenities.
